The room clock is the big screen in the room. It shows the level and the time left. Beside the time left, it shows the time since the start and the time to the next break. Under them, it shows the blinds.
In the hour before the start, the large time on the room clock counts down to the start time, with Starts In under it. If the event starts late, it stays at 00:00 until the clock starts. Earlier, it shows the length of the first level.
During a break, the room clock and the table screen show BREAK in large letters on a blue band, in a blue frame.

Three levels and a break. The marked break is the last chance for late entry, a rebuy or an add-on.
The columns after Length show the blinds, the antes and the bets of each level, for each kind of game. What Each Amount Means
- Level
- The number of the level. The level that is played now is marked now.
- Starts
- The time of day when the level starts. Before the start, it counts from the planned start. While the clock runs, it counts from the clock, so a pause moves it.
- Length
- How long the level or the break lasts. No set length means that the break lasts until the Floor or a director starts the clock again.
- Break
- A time with no play. At a break, the smallest chips can colour up. The structure names them.
One break, or one level, is marked with the close of late entry. Until the end of it, new players can still enter. Rebuys and add-ons close at the same time.

Give Up Your Stack and Rebuy
In some events, you can give up the chips that you have and take a rebuy. Ask the desk.

How a Mixed-Game Event Works
In a mixed-game event, the tables play different poker games, one after the other.
- The level and the clock are the same for the whole room.
- Each table plays its own game. After an orbit, the dealer changes the table to the next game.
- A new level changes the blinds and the bets. It does not change the game.
- The page of your table shows the game now, and the next game after the orbit.
- H.O.R.S.E. plays fixed-limit Hold’em, Omaha hi-low, Razz, Seven-card stud and Seven-card stud hi-low, in that order.
How Each Game Is Played
On the page of your table, How to Play explains the game that your table plays now. The Games Guide explains every game. You must sign in to open it. Open the Games Guide
The Games Guide also has a page for each mix. It lists the games in order and says how a table changes game.

Play a Sit & Go
A Sit & Go is a short tournament at one table. The host starts it when the players are ready.
If your club uses Sit & Go, Sit & Go is in the menu, between Events and Ranking. On a phone, it is in the bar at the bottom.
Join a List
- Open Sit & Go. The Play tab shows a list for each game, the fullest first, with the time that it has waited.
- Press Join on the list of the game that you want to play. You can be on more than one list.
- If the club uses a code for the day, type the code. The Floor has it, and the room clock shows it. You type it one time each day. After 10 wrong codes in one hour, you must wait one hour.
You cannot join a list while you play in a running event, or in another Sit & Go. A line then says why. When the event that you are approved into starts, PokerSjef removes you from the lists, and your phone tells you.
When Your Table Is Ready
A full list gets the next free table. The Floor can also prepare a list with fewer players when they agree.
- PokerSjef draws the seats. Your phone shows your table and your seat, for example Table 7 · Seat 4, and it makes a sound every 30 seconds.
- Press I’m Coming. It is in the bar at the foot of every page, where the check-in also shows. Then go to your table.
- The host sits in seat 1. The host chooses the speed and starts the Sit & Go.
- In Dealer’s Choice, each player can choose one game. Tell the host your game. Each game plays for one orbit.
- Until the start, you can leave the list. Your seat then opens for the next player.
During the Sit & Go
- Your phone shows the clock, the blinds, the game and the seats, as at an event. It rings a soft bell when one minute is left, and a chime at each new level.
- The blinds increase at each level, as the structure of the club sets them for the speed. There are no breaks.
- When you are out, press I’m Out. Then press Yes, I’m Out. The host confirms it too. If the host does not answer, PokerSjef records it after 1 minute. Until then, you are still in the Sit & Go, and you can press Cancel I’m Out. Your place is the place at the time that you pressed it.
- When the players who are still in agree to stop, the host asks on the phones. Each player agrees on their own phone. Each of them then gets the average of the places that are left. Nobody wins.
- If the Sit & Go ends while your I’m Out waits, it counts first. You do not share the places that are left.
Results
Results on the Sit & Go page shows the Sit & Gos of the club. The leaderboards are on the Ranking page, under Sit & Go. Your own Sit & Gos are in My Results. A Sit & Go does not count in a season. It counts in a league only when the club adds it to that league.
Each single game has its own leaderboard. Every mixed Sit & Go counts on one leaderboard, Mixed.

Be the Host of a Sit & Go
The host starts the Sit & Go and records the players who are out.
When a list gets a table, PokerSjef chooses the host. It is the player with the highest club role, then the player who played the most events of the club. The host sits in seat 1.
- Wait for the players to press I’m Coming. Your phone shows who did, and it tells you when all did.
- In Dealer’s Choice, ask each player for one game. Add each game: choose the game, then its limit. The table plays the games in that order. You can start with fewer games than players.
- Choose the speed.
- Start the Sit & Go. Level 1 starts at once.
In Dealer’s Choice, the games stay on the phone that adds them until Start. Another phone does not see them. So the person who presses Start adds the games.
- On the page of the table, you have the controls of a dealer. Press Bust Out beside a player who is out. In a mixed game, move the table to the next game after an orbit.
- You can also pause and resume the clock. You cannot change the time or the level. The Floor can.
- When two or more players are out in the same hand, tick all of them. Then say who started the hand with the most chips. Equal stacks share the place.
- When a player presses I’m Out, your phone shows their name. Press Confirm, or Not Out if they still play. If you do not answer, PokerSjef records it after 1 minute. The player gets the place at the time that they pressed it, also when you bust another player before you answer.
- If a player presses I’m Out less than 2 minutes after another player is out, your phone asks if it was the same hand.
- You can give the host role to another player. Nobody changes seat.

See Your Results and the Standings
Your place shows when you bust out. The standings show your points.
During the Event
Open the event. The Results tab shows the finishing order. Your row is marked You.

Under Today’s Results, the room clock lists the players who are out. It can also show the points that each player scored today.
After the Event
My Results is in the account menu, and on a phone in the bar at the bottom. It lists your events from every club, where you stand in each season and league, and your statistics.
If your club uses Sit & Go, or you have Sit & Go results, you can choose Events or Sit & Go. Each has its own statistics, graphs and club filter. Sit & Go results do not change your event statistics.
The Sit & Go graph follows your finishing place over time. First place is at the top. Tap a point for its result.
Ranking in the menu shows the standings of the club’s seasons and leagues.
If you win, your card on the Events page offers to add a photo. The photo shows on the room clock and on your winner’s card.

Words and Problems
Poker Event Words for New Players
These words are on the room clock, the Structure tab and your card.
- Level
- A part of the event with fixed blinds. The blinds go up at each new level.
- Break
- A time with no play between two levels.
- Blinds
- Forced bets that two players post before the deal. The big blind is usually twice the small blind.
- Ante
- A small forced bet. With a player ante, every player posts it. With a stud ante, one post covers the whole table.
- Colour Up
- At a break, the smallest chips leave play. The dealer changes them for larger chips.
- Late Entry
- The time after the start in which new players can still join.
- Freezeout
- An event with no rebuys. When you lose all your chips, you are out.
- Rebuy
- A purchase of new chips after you bust out, while rebuys are open.
- Add-On
- A purchase of more chips, usually at a break.
- Paid Places
- The number of places that win a prize.
- The Bubble
- The moment when one more bust-out puts everyone left in the money.
- In the Money
- A place that wins a prize.
- Hand-for-Hand
- At the bubble, every table plays one hand at a time. Players who bust out on the same hand share their places.
- Final Table
- The last table. The players who are still in draw new seats there.
- Heads-Up
- The last two players.
- Orbit
- One turn of the button around the table. In a mixed-game event, the game changes after an orbit.

The Amounts of a Level: SB, BB, Antes and Bets
Each level sets the blinds, the antes and the bets. The room clock, the Structure tab and your table show them with short words.
- SB, Small Blind
- A forced bet before the deal. The first player to the left of the button posts it.
- BB, Big Blind
- A forced bet before the deal. The next player to the left posts it. It is usually twice the small blind.
- BBA
- Big blind ante. The player in the big blind posts one ante for the whole table.
- Player Ante, each
- Every player posts this ante before the deal. The Structure tab writes each after the amount.
- Stud Ante, stud
- In a stud game, one player posts this ante for the whole table. The dealer says who posts it. The Structure tab writes stud after the amount.
- Bring-In
- In a stud game, a small forced bet that starts the first betting round. The player with the lowest face-up card posts it. In Razz, the player with the highest face-up card posts it.
- Small Bet
- In a fixed-limit game, each bet and each raise in the early betting rounds is one small bet.
- Big Bet
- In a fixed-limit game, each bet and each raise in the later betting rounds is one big bet.
In games with a flop, the big bet starts on the turn. In stud, it starts on 5th street. In triple draw, it starts after the second draw.
In a fixed-limit game with blinds, the big blind is one small bet. So the Structure tab shows no BB for that game.
If the stud and limit games use the same bets, the Structure tab shows them once, under Stud and Limit Bets.
A stud game collects a player ante or a stud ante, never both. The structure chooses which one, level by level. When PokerSjef makes the levels, it chooses the stud ante while it is at most a tenth of the starting stack, then the player ante. The change comes after a break when possible. You can change it on any level.
A dash (–) means that the amount does not apply to that game. A 0 means that the amount is zero.
A new level changes these amounts at every table. In a mixed-game event, a new level does not change the game of a table.

Sign-In and Check-In Problems
Most problems have a short fix. If nothing here helps, ask the desk.
- If no club shows after you sign in, you possibly used another account. Sign out. Then sign in with the account that you used to sign up.
- If you asked to join a club and it does not show, a director did not approve you yet. Ask the club.
- If the sign-in card says that Google does not work, you opened the link inside another app. Press Continue with Facebook, or open the link in Safari or Chrome.
- If you have no card on the Events page, the event is not today, or you used another account.
- If your card does not show I’m Here, Check In, check-in is not open yet. The card says when it opens.
- If the check-in button gives an error, tell the desk that you are here. The desk can approve you.
- If you got a place from the waiting list, you get no message. Before the day of the event, the On the Waiting List label beside the event goes away. On the day, your card at the top of the Events page changes.
- If the clock says that it is estimated, your phone has no link to the server now. The clock continues to count from what it last knew.
